Art therapy center ATIC Dubai visits Gaza Camp to run art for therapy sessions for more than 100 children. This is part of the Art for Hope initiative created by The Orenda Tribe to spread purposeful art into refugee camps, children's hospitals, orphanages and public schools.
The Orenda Tribe was happy to assist Color the Camps in distributing 1,000 crayon kits and in guiding children from Gaza Refugee Camp to draw self portraits for an art exchange project that would raise awareness about Gaza Refugee Camp and the Palestinian refugee issue.
Art therapy is a great tool for exploring emotions, reducing anxiety and increasing self confidence. For our fifth Art for Hope project that took place at the SOS Children's Village in Amman we wanted to learn more about the power of art therapy and how it can be used to positively impact children's lives.
